INFORMATICA 2012

Investigadores de la empresa de computación IBM lograron almacenar un bit de datos en una memoria compuesta por tan sólo 12 átomos.
Actualmente se requieren al menos un millón de átomos para almacenar un bit en un disco duro moderno, afirman los investigadores de IBM.

Según el equipo involucrado en el proyecto, la técnica empleada abre la posibilidad de producir memorias magnéticas de computadora mucho más densas que los discos duros y chips actuales.Por lo tanto, su invento es considerado el dispositivo magnético de memoria más pequeño del mundo.
